Who We Are

We are a long-standing part of the community of Trenton, TX. Since the 1940s, this building served as a community meat and vegetable processing co-op and freezer locker. Since then, it has solely been a meat processing facility and spent 48 years operating as Jack’s Wholesale Meat. In 2011, the Buses family purchased the business, and it became Bluebonnet Meat Company. For more company history, click here.

We are your friendly neighborhood butchers. We take pride in the craft and artisanship of meat processing. We love being a part of the North Texas Community. It brings us joy to see the products we carefully create gracing the tables of customers’ family and friends as well as local restaurants.

Animal welfare is also of primary importance as we employ a robust Humane Handling Program as well as routinely undergo Animal Welfare Approved audits.
We are foodies who love making new and unusual products. We want to bring you flavors that introduce you to new things. We want to provide easy dinner options that make you feel like the winner at the grill. We work to excel in state and multi-state competitions to sharpen our steel against other processors in the business. Come check out our selection of sausages as well as our selection of awards!
